Want to feel confident that youre making the most of your computer while you edit? Eager to streamline your editing process by learning expert tools and tricks for working more effectively with Microsoft Word? How about banishing common annoyances, like those pesky automated features?

Through demonstration in Word 2010 for PC, Melissa Stein will show you how to make electronic editing faster, smarter, and even more fun. A detailed PDF handbook of techniques will help you replicate at home and in the office what you learn in the webinar. You wont believe how much more your computer can do!

Part 2 (this session):

  • Streamlining repetitive tasks with the indispensable Find and Replace functions
  • Customizing Track Changes to record your edits
  • Handling queries using the Comment feature
  • Mastering tips and tricks to make your editing life easier

Part 1 (next session to be scheduled):

  • Creating keyboard shortcuts and macros for the tasks you perform most often
  • Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar and Ribbon for efficiency
  • Making AutoCorrect, AutoFormat, Spelling, and Grammar work for you
  • Mastering tips and tricks to make your editing life easier
Note: This webinar is taught through demonstration in Word 2010 for PC and most material is also applicable to Word 2013 for PC; handbooks include instructions for Macs where those instructions differ. This fast-paced webinar is designed for practice outside the class; trying out techniques on your computer during the class is not recommended. There will be time for participant questions.
